Second to last night

Today we traveled from Chicago to Cleveland Ohio and are currently sitting on my second cousin, Palmer DePetro's couch. Izzy is on the couch with Palmer and his new wife Diana, and their dog Tyler. Izzy LOVES dogs, and Tyler is really just trying to figure Izzy out. It's pretty cute to watch.
Here's our trip so far in a nutshell. We finally left Santa Barbara last thursday at around 3 in the afternoon. We hit a little traffic out of Santa Barbara but were smooth sailing after that. We hit Vegas where we stayed with Isabelle's grandparents Cathy and Louie. They were amazing hosts, even with us giving A) such late notice and 2) getting there around 10:30 pm. Next we stayed in our one and only hotel in Richfield Utah. Then Aspen, where we stayed with a high school friend, Eliza Lyon, in her mansion of a house on snowmass mountain where she is getting paid to housesit until the house sells. crazy i know. After Aspen, we traveled to Denver where I caught up with relatives and saw my favorite college roommate (umm and only). We traveled to Lincoln Nebraska after that which was a long drive but went by relatively fast. We stayed in Lincoln with Lydia's best friend from college. Next was Ames, Iowa which was another one of Lydia's friends, then Chicago with Lydia's good family friends and now here we are in Cleveland. Tomorrow we're aiming to leave at 8 am to get to Philadelphia by a reasonable hour.
Our traveling days have not exceeded 7 1/2 hours because of sweet sweet Izzy. She is an amazing traveler. Sleeping, approximatly 80% of each leg. She also has a DVD player which plays Baby Einsteins for her at her leisure. Here are some photos from the last couple of days. More to come later, here are some photos of Utah, Aspen, and Chicago.

The Road Trip

So... we're on our way!! We're in Richfield Utah tonight, last night las vegas. Needless to say preparing to graduating, actually graduating and then packing my life up in Santa Barbara was more than stressful. I"m trying to recuperate on the road, hopefully before we hit aspen. My eyes are burning so much I can't even keep them open. I just thought I'd post something on here for all you who got my post card. Cute huh?

Oh, and Izzy? She's a born traveler.

More later
